Ajman Tourism joins IMEX Frankfurt 2025
First-ever participation to boost the emirate’s global business tourism profile
DUBAI: In a strategic step to elevate its international presence in business tourism, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is set to participate for the first time in the IMEX Frankfurt 2025 exhibition.
The prestigious event, known as one of the world’s largest gatherings for the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry, will take place from 20th to 22nd May 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany.
This debut underscores Ajman’s growing ambition to become a competitive destination for business events, aligning with ADTD’s broader vision of enhancing the emirate’s global image and fostering economic development through tourism. With a focus on innovation, infrastructure and international cooperation, the department aims to position Ajman among the top destinations in the regional and global MICE markets.
IMEX Frankfurt 2025
At IMEX Frankfurt, ADTD will promote the emirate’s strengths in hosting business, sporting and social events. Ajman’s strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and premium hotel offerings are expected to be key highlights. The department also plans to emphasise the logistical and organisational support available for events, ensuring compliance with global standards.
According to Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, the initiative marks a significant move to expand communication channels with international stakeholders and foster long-term partnerships. “Our participation in IMEX Frankfurt 2025 reflects our relentless efforts to expand cooperation and open new global communication channels that will help reinforce Ajman’s position as a leading tourist destination and an ideal location for business tourism, conferences and incentives,” he stated.
He further noted that the emirate’s growing tourism and entertainment sectors are a direct outcome of the leadership’s strategic vision, which focuses on sustainable tourism infrastructure and economic diversification.
Expanding global ties
ADTD’s presence at the exhibition aligns with its mission to build relations with global event organisers, destination management companies (DMCs) and private travel firms operating in the corporate sector. The aim is to attract new conferences and business gatherings to the emirate, while boosting the visibility of Ajman’s business tourism offering as a cornerstone of its economic roadmap.
The department is also set to spotlight Ajman’s expanding hospitality infrastructure. This includes upscale hotels and resorts capable of hosting corporate meetings, in addition to leisure, cultural and entertainment activities designed to enrich the visitor experience for business travellers and official delegations.
Unified industry showcase
Ajman’s pavilion at IMEX will feature prominent local hospitality partners, including Ajman Saray Hotel, Ajman Hotel, and Reeda International. Their participation demonstrates the growing collaboration between the public and private sectors in presenting a cohesive image of Ajman as a versatile destination for MICE events.
IMEX Frankfurt offers a global platform that connects leading destination representatives, service providers, travel experts and tourism boards from across continents. It is an essential opportunity for ADTD to engage with decision-makers, follow market trends and showcase Ajman’s evolving tourism identity to international audiences.
